Hi! My name is Amber Mullins and I am a senior at Mississippi College in Clinton, MS. I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee and every time I drive home from school I roll the windows down and groove to “Walking in Memphis!” Ahh good times! My family is incredible! My father is a recently resigned college pastor and is now an the interim Minister of Assimilation at Germantown Baptist in Memphis, TN. My mom is the wisest person I have ever met, and she disciples at least 10 college girls every week. My older brother is a middle school minister in Germantown Baptist and is married to Anne, who is a teacher. I will graduate in May with a Sociology degree (I have no passion for this whatsoever) and minor in Psychology (I love this part). Graduation is bittersweet for me because I struggle with fearing the unknown, and I have no idea what life will be like after college. However, I am so excited to see what God does over the next couple of months. I am youth intern and I have been stretched incredible over the last year. I think Jr. Highers are a perfect example of God’s humor! I love life!!! I really do! I’ve had some rough times for sure, but I just enjoy life and all the people in my life. I love to laugh and be silly. I love staying up late, watching a good movie with friends, listening to music with the windows rolled down, homeless people, reading, and anything to do with missions and outside-of-the-box Christianity gets me really excited! So right now I feel like I just applied to be on a dating show…kinda a strange feeling…but I think I like it! 🙂 God Bless! “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in your sight. O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.” Ps. 19:14

Here are some details about my trip:

I am going to South Africa in September and will return in December. I will leave again in January and either go to Kenya or Jeffrey’s Bay until May. The first part of the trip includes intensive discipleship and training by AIM.  The second half is working with a group of about 10 and ministering to which ever country the Lord leads me.  I have averaged that the cost of my trip will be around
$10,000. This includes the cost of the trip plus airfair, shots, and insurance.  All of this money is not necessarily due upfront.  Pledges are also accepted.  Such as a Sunday school class sponsoring me for ten months at $50.00 a month. Also,  I would love to have at least 5 people commit to praying for me everyday beginning now and continuing until my return next May.  And that’s about all the information that I have.

HE Provides,

Amber Mullins
